Feeling a little short?

Feeling a little short?

Apologies in advance. This release post is going to be pretty short. So short, Chiaki from AAA gets to be my “Feeling Short” mascot. Adorably tiny, isn’t she? Same goes for these crazy but obviously not very many releases. I’m really surprised at how much of a good time I had reading each chapter though. No, I’m not just saying that cause they’re Heels’ projects and I think we have a lot less duds than other groups. >.> <.< I did have a blast though and you will too. This includes Anata no Koto wa Sorehodo in case all you Koki haters are wondering.

Chotto darui… (A Little Tired…)

Chotto darui… (A Little Tired…)

When I heard that El Niño with its destructive rain was coming, and a smattering of rain leaking from the sky the week following showed significant promise, I bought a pair of rain boots from Nordstrom. Four days later they arrived at my office, and after I finished unwrapping the soft layer of translucent white tissue that encased them with the efficiency of a master sushi chef filleting a Spanish mackerel, I threw my arms up in the air and shouted, “Yahoo!” Rain boots! For rain!

I had almost forgotten what rain was until the eager meteorologists on NPR dutifully came on the air to remind forgetful cat ladies such as me. Can you imagine what I could do with this pair of rain boots? I told myself.

Luck of the Draw

Luck of the Draw

I originally had a cute, introductory story to tell for my first ever post on the Stiletto Heels site, but the longer I typed it out, the more wrong it felt. As a result, I’m left without anything interesting, funny or charming to say. Therefore, I’m left to resort to my own wit and the luck of the draw to whatever comes out my head and through the keyboard punches.

A Person in Need

Hello there, I’m SwirlyOwl: one of SH’s cleaners. It will be short and sweet since all of you guys want to read those chapters right away, right? *winks*

I was working on one of the hottest days of the year. I remember thinking to myself, why me? Why do I have to suffer like this? I was driving in a car with no air-conditioning, with no fan, and I knew I was slowly dehydrating even through I drank like 4 bottles of water for the past hour. I drove and drove, and slowly, I was sweating through all of my clothes.

I was near one of the houses when a person, an elderly man, came out with a bottle of water, he noticed how tired and dehydrated I was. I thanked him profusely and knew at that point we would be buddies.

Here’s to you, my water boy.
