End? No, the journey doesn’t end here.

The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it.

White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise.

Well, no, not exactly. More like my starch-white face, infected by lack of sleep, glaring all raving-madman-like at my friend’s schizo keyboard!

Anyway, I won’t lie to you. I took an extended vacation from scanlations and I have to admit, as much as I miss you guys, it felt dayum good! The fritzy laptops and the bowl of turkey gravy I must have devoured over Thanksgiving may have contributed to a much longer break than expected, but I hope we haven’t lost all of our readers yet. Readers, are you still out there? [Cups one ear and summons the most hardcore gangsta rapper tone a nerdy Asian chick from the bowels of LA can assume] Heels’ Readers all over the world, lemme hear you say, “Yee~aah!”

*crickets chirp*

Once again, I said, Heels’ Readers all over the world, lemme hear you say, “Yeeeeahh!”

*crickets chirp*

OK, well that’s just… *tries to conceal her face with a half-eaten slice of banana bread*

Guess a Heels’ staffer has gotta do what a Heels’ staffer has gotta do to lure back our precious readers… Start setting giant mouse traps with releases as bait.

Bait Numero Uno: Futago

Aww, don’t you just miss them already? I’ve dubbed this sweet couple: Nao-kari. It’s been so long so you may not remember, but this is the scene where Naomi and Yukari decide to take a walk and hold hands for the first time. Yukari’s pretty naive in the relationship department. Never walked holding hands?! Girl, what have you been doing with your boyfriends all this time? Err… Before I let your imagination runs wild, you can catch up with the latest chapter here: ch.17-19v2ch.20 | Read it online

Bait Numero Dos: Teke Teke Rendezvous, which by the looks of it Minelauva must have slaved over for days. It’s gorgeous, seriously! If you haven’t started reading it yet, do so now. Tayoko’s fallen into the clutches of the king of beasts, Shishio. Can she make it out of their love cave alive?

Ch.10 DDL | Read it online

(And before you complain about the quality of my release posts going down, just know that I am full of turkey and have fried more than a few brain cells watching way too much TV for my own good. Give me a few more days and I should be back to normal.)

Gods I was complaining about not having any series to read and then I remembered Stiletto`s and I was so delighted to see a chapter of Futago. Damn I love that series.
Thank you so much for your hard work.

Y’know, I took a four-year’s break from anime and manga and tonight, (as all TV dramas I watch reached their mid-season break), I thought to myself, “Hey, whatever happen to ______ (fill in the blank with a manga series)?” Well, apparently, there are two obvious things here – firstly, I talk to myself when my therapist said that I should do that less, and secondly, the manga I was thinking about was 3 AM Dangerous Zone. And that brings me back here…. Glad you guys are still in business!

Off to read Futago next! Much love and thanks for the releases, Mimi + team!

    *cheers wildly upon seeing post*
Happy to read that you’re back and well-stuffed from the holiday. More than missing the releases, I missed reading your posts updating us about your life haha. But also super glad to see releases for Futago (my favorite!) and Teke Teke, both which I really like. Thank you for the releases!

Yeeeee~aah! So glad you guys are back! Thank you for the lovely releases~

    Still here! *waves*
Glad to hear you had a great Thanksgiving. Are you looking forward to Christmas feasting? I plan on being ambitious this year and baking a bûche de Noël. Thank you for the releases! (Did your cat manage to come home?)

    • Minelauva December 6, 2014 at 2:24 pm

Oh, for the last few years, we have been baking the bûches ourselves too. They’re not as good looking as if they had been made by professionals but they taste good and it’s extremely satisfying to eat homemade desserts for Christmas. If you’re proud of the results, don’t hesitate to come post pictures on the forum (/shamelessly advertising).

The Yule log turned out to be a bust. I’ll try my hand at another roll cake sometime later but it was the middle of the night before Xmas eve and my patience had run thin. I ended making another chocolate cake and pouring ganache over it. Lame, but rich and delicious. Oh well!

I’m so excited for this release, waiiii!! It’s like Christmas has come early ^^

YAY! Glad to see you guys active again and bringing back one of my most favorite Josei stories. Thanks so much for the release of Futago. By the way, are you reading Six Half too? I love it, it’s the only shoujo I follow passionately and it’s so underrated in the community too.

By the way, what are the differences in the second version of chapter 19 in Futago?

    • hats99 December 2, 2014 at 8:59 pm

Just me being totally OCD and wanting all the fonts to match. Plus there were a few alterations with the translation where ever errors were found.

I’m a little behind on Six Half though… like several volumes behind. If only Minelauva would stop introducing me to all these wonderful movies and tv series! /shamelessly putting the blame on innocent staffers. I do plan to continue reading as soon as I get time. Right now I’m way too swamped working on the backlog of releases.

      • Minelauva December 6, 2014 at 2:21 pm

Hahaha. I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. Actually, I will probably add a few more recommendations during winter break, or even before.
I need to buy the first volumes of Six Half in french. I like this series. It tackles some interesting themes but as I mentioned somewhere in the forum before, I find the use of the incest trope completely unecessary and annoying. The series would have been practically perfect in my eyes otherwise.

    • Kusa December 2, 2014 at 9:40 pm

Been reading Six Half, good manga!

  11. Kurini December 2, 2014 at 6:00 am

    *Yeahhhhhhh! *
Happy? I hope it made you happy. X)

Thank you for the releases even if I don’t really have the time to read it. ^^”

    omg. futago is so adorbs
    can’t handle

  13. cocoyam December 2, 2014 at 2:36 am

Yes, I am still here. (@´ー`)ノ゙ Hail Stiletto Heels Team! I may not have thought you were coming back, but I still had faith in your integrity. /unintelligible

Is that actually a quote from a book? What it reminds me of is a IF (interactive fiction piece) called Blue Lacuna. Beautiful writing, a la IF mode…

    • hats99 December 2, 2014 at 9:11 am

Wish I was that good, coco my dear, but no, I did not pen those great lines. It came via Gandalf from the movie, but is really a hodgepodge of lines taken from Frodo in Return of the King. 🙂
